| One meal a day program CFC provides one meal a day to the co-action hearing impaired school for 28 hearing impaired students ages 3 to 17, and to 4 staff members. For most of these children, this one meal CFC provides is the only daily meal they get. This heartbreaking fact is one of the reasons Chance for Change continues to screen local mothers as potential candidates for our vocational training program, so these mothers can become trained in marketable skills, become self-sustaining, model a life rising above the poverty cycle and feed their children regular meals. CFC- ETHIOPIAN FOOD APPEAL CFC AND EFA collaboration Chance for Change has the honor of working in conjunction with Jo Butler, the head of EFA, the Ethiopian Food Appeal. In January 2010 EFA pledged to donate enough funds to sponsor two more women candidates to go through the Chance for Change program. EFA has been instrumental in programs helping Ethiopian children and the building of rural Ethiopian schools. |
